Senior DO-254 Certification Engineer - Leading Aerospace OpportunityAre you a Senior DO-254 Certification Engineer with experience in safety-critical industries like aerospace? We're recruiting on behalf of a top-tier aerospace company seeking to expand their team with a highly skilled engineer to lead hardware certification efforts and ensure regulatory compliance. This role offers a perfect blend of technical challenge, career growth, and work-life balance while contributing to innovative aerospace projects.Key Responsibilities:DO-254 Certification Leadership*Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and establishing the certification basis in accordance with DO-254 standards.*Oversee compliance planning and the determination of means of compliance for assigned projects and products.*Review development artefacts and perform certification audit pre-assessments of both internal projects and external suppliers.*Conduct audits of project/product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basis.*Provide support to Customer AR/Regulatory Authority audits and collaborate with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit findings/actions/observations.*Participate in and contribute to industry working groups focused on DO-254 and related standards.*Mentor and provide technical guidance, coaching, and development for less experienced engineers within the certification team and broader engineering community.*Develop and implement training modules as necessary to elevate the knowledge and skills within the team.Qualifications & Experience:*Proven experience in hardware certification engineering, with a focus on DO-254 standards within safety-critical environments, particularly in the aerospace industry.*Direct design experience/knowledge with ASIC, FPGA, and CPLD technologies.*Experience working with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254.*Demonstrated ability to lead compliance efforts and successfully navigate the certification process.*Knowledge of ASIC design and fabrication, including both fabless and foundry aspects.*Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.*Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.What's on Offer:*Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.*A stable and supportive work environment with a growing order book.*Opportunities for career development in technical management or learning new engineering disciplines.*A positive work-life balance with flexible benefits, including non-contributory pension, life assurance, private medical cover, and more.*The chance to work on-site with exposure to multiple departments and products, enhancing your experience and expertise.*Participation in industry-leading projects with the potential to shape the future of aerospace engineering.If you're ready to take your career to the next level with a leading aerospace company, we'd love to hear from you.
