My client is seeking an Account Manager to oversee a key market sector in their business worth approximately £2 million, with exciting plans for growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B account management, with experience in the construction industry being advantageous.

The role is full time and permanent, working Monday to Friday and is fully onsite. Due to the location, having your own transport is essential.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Monitor customer spend within the sector, identifying any decrease in spend and investigating the causes.
  • Develop strong relationships with specific customers, gaining their trust and confidence.
  • Quickly acquire product knowledge, becoming proficient in discussing the product range with customers.
  • Manage the sector inbox, process orders, and respond to customer queries, including delivery issues.
  • Generate new quotes and pricelists for customers, follow up on quotes, and engage potential new customers/leads.
  • Provide customers with product images, datasheets, and technical advice as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a fast-paced sales and customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of the construction/joinery industry or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organised with a keen attention to detail.
  • Confident in phone communication and comfortable working in a fast-paced email environment.
  • Occasional customer visits as and when required
