Quality Testing Operative

Start: Asap.

Location: Outskirts of Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham- Valid driving license and access to personal transport essential as the location is not accessible via public transport.

Contract Type: 6 months.

Hourly Rate: £15.00- £16.23 p/h dependent on experience.

Working Pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 days off.

- 2-day shifts: 06:00-18:00.

- 2-night shifts: 18:00-06:00.

Our client, a leading production company in Cheltenham, is seeking a Quality Testing Operative to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. As a Quality Testing Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of quality in their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing accurately and efficiently, identifying any non-compliant media according to procedures.
  • Record test data accurately and legibly on appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure precise recording of test results in designated systems.
  • Review all test data and promptly communicate any deviations from target specifications to the machine operator.
  • Conduct testing on incoming raw materials and record results accordingly.
  • Maintain clear communication with other departments regarding any quality concerns and manage non-compliant material effectively.
  • Process Certificates of Analysis for all shipments, ensuring adherence to quality test specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with test methods and manage non-compliances appropriately.
  • Participate in quality compliance audits across various operational areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment for efficient testing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in quality control or similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • IT competence for accurate recording of data.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and testing techniques.
  • Valid driving licence.
