TSR Legal are proud to be working with a leading law firm, who are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a compliance professional with strong legal and regulatory expertise to play a key role in ensuring the firm adheres to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Role Overview

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Working closely with senior leadership, the role will involve developing policies, training employees, and monitoring regulatory changes to maintain the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on legal and regulatory compliance matters, including AML, financial crime, data protection, and professional conduct rules.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to align with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to manage compliance risks effectively.
  • Oversee and manage SARs, AML queries, and compliance investigations.
  • Deliver training programs to employees to enhance awareness of compliance obligations.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory updates, ensuring the firm remains compliant with evolving legal frameworks.
  • Manage client complaints, regulatory filings, and internal compliance audits.
  • Liaise with regulators, external bodies, and senior leadership to maintain a strong compliance culture.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to law firms.
  • Experience in financial crime compliance, including AML and risk assessments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capability to influence decision-making at all levels.
  • Effective communication and training skills to engage employees on compliance matters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance initiatives.
  • Experience in handling client complaints, SARs, and compliance registers is highly desirable.
