At TeachMatch, we are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Gloucestershire. This opportunity provides you with the flexibility to suit your lifestyle, whether you’re looking for day to day, short- or long-term placements!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities to primary-aged children
  • Work with small groups or individual students, providing additional support where needed
  • Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe, positive learning environment
  • Help with preparing resources for each lesson
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Supporting during playtimes and lunchtimes

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting (though not essential)
  • A full DBS Check (ideally on the update system)
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for supporting children in their educational and personal growth
  • A DBS check or willingness to obtain one
