Are you an organised and proactive professional with a strong knowledge of building materials? A leading residential developer is looking for a Materials Controller on a temp-to-perm basis to efficiently manage material call-offs and deliveries across multiple sites in Cheltenham.

The Role

As a Materials Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring that materials are delivered on time and in line with the build programme. Working closely with site teams and suppliers, you will monitor stock levels, resolve discrepancies, and help maintain a smooth and efficient supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure materials are called off in time to meet the build programme
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery arrangements and follow up on outstanding orders
  • Monitor build progress and adjust material deliveries accordingly
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report potential shortages
  • Work closely with site teams to manage excess stock and resolve discrepancies
  • Report scheduling issues to the commercial team
  • Support the wider production team with materials control duties as required

About You:

  • Strong knowledge of building materials and supply chain processes
  • Previous experience in site production or materials control
  • IT literate with the ability to manage orders and schedules efficiently
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
