Job Title: Junior Quality Inspector

Location: Cheltenham

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £26,000 to £32,000 per year

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM, with an early finish at 12:30 PM on Fridays

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
  • Identify and report any non-conformities or quality issues
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to develop and implement improvement initiatives
  • Conduct inspections using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality standards are met
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Previous experience in conducting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in an aerospace or precision engineering environment
  • Understanding of engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Experience with non-destructive testing methods
  • Familiarity with statistical process control techniques
