Quality Inspector

Full-time – Permanent – Days - Cheltenham

Our client, a global business and leader in their field, are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join the Quality team at their facility based in Staverton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a world leader and would suit a quality inspector with previous experience in precision engineering or aerospace sectors.

Key Skills:

  • Must have Inspection knowledge of complex machined parts,
  • Inspecting aerospace parts to drawing tolerances throughout all processes and completed parts. Ensuring priority list is adhered to.
  • Assist with booking in, labelling and packing to required spec and checking delivery certs/paperwork,
  • Support 1st off checks within the inspection department as required to aid the flow of work throughout the shopfloor/grinding shop,
  • Assist Quality team with continuous improvement and all production area’s quality control,
  • Experience in a wide variety of inspection equipment and sophisticated measuring equipment such as Manual CMM, Surface Analyser, Shadowgraph etc,
  • Able to interpret complex engineering drawings, processes, and procedures.
  • Familiar with AS9100 First Article Reporting – produce inspection reports
  • Raise internal and supplier rejects,
  • Working with Quality Systems and a sound knowledge of ISO9000 & Inspection sampling plans
  • Assist with calibration on weekly/monthly basis to keep calibration accurate & up to date,
  • Knowledge of Visual FAIR software advantageous.
  • You may be required to complete other tasks, as needed by the business.
