Buyer

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team in Staverton, Cheltenham, on a permanent basis. This exciting opportunity comes with a salary package of up to £45,000.

• Assist in determining demand, supply, and fulfilment planning within the MRP system
• Accountable for converting purchase demand into purchase orders after appropriately evaluating vendor capability
• Responsible for managing the RFQ process to secure competitive bids
• Integrating with Engineering teams to meet procurement requirement and act as primary point of contact
• Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers

Person Specification of the Buyer:

• Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement or Buyer role within a manufacturing environment
• Confident and competent in reading engineering drawings with the ability to interpret relevant information to inform purchasing decisions - must
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP Systems
• Excellent communication across all departments and platforms
