Role: Production Planner - PCB Materials
Site Location: Cheltenham
Rate: 21.29 PAYE + 22% increase shift allowance for SWING SHIFT
1-week earlies (6am - 2pm) - 1-week afternoons (2pm - 10pm) (No Night shift)
Duration: 12-month contract
Essential Responsibilities
In this role you will be a Production Planner (known locally as a Material Planner) within the Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Materials Team. You will be responsible for accurate and efficient material throughput in support of manufacturing cells, engineering, and external customers.
This role has a strong emphasis on ensuring world class standards of material flow, storage, accuracy, and quality to support our PCB manufacturing facility. The Material Planner will be integral in executing the PCB Production Plan to manage work-order launches in combination with effective material presentation and control.
Role Summary / Purpose
- Attend daily operating rhythms to ensure cell material position clarity.
- Use planning methods to execute in line with Production Plan.
- Review material position and drive supply-chain to deliver in line with customer requirements.
- Apply problem solving skills to overcome cell queries and provide swift resolutions.
- Assist coaches and leadership with process improvements to develop performance of local team and the wider manufacturing workshop.
- Support leadership on process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve clear-to-build (CTB), reduce manufacturing losses, and develop world-class material presentation.
- Deliver on personal goals agreed with leadership relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
