Job Description

We design, test, manufacture, and assemble landing gear used on commercial aircraft, including Airbus and Boeing, as well as UK military aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon. Our UK division has been at the cutting edge of landing gear technology for over 90 years.
What will I be doing?
You will work within our medium landing gear quality team, supporting manufacture and inspection, to improve the robustness of our product processes, ensuring the production of a reliable & quality Right First Time product.
- Provide hands-on expertise in resolving quality issues
- Coach and develop team members in technical and quality matters to achieve greater robustness
- Play a key role in the continual improvement of products throughout their manufacturing life
- Act as a key interface with other internal and external disciplines
- Evaluate and process non-conformities
- Offer expert advice, information, and support to Design Engineering, internal, and external customers and suppliers as required
- Be actively involved in improvement activities
- Provide input regarding manufacturing quality and technical issues to Manufacturing Engineering strategy
- Raise and authorize extra work on layouts, SAP, and MES

What do you need from me?
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles including methods, processes, production control, plant, and tooling based on a lean enterprise approach
- Product knowledge expertise
- Ability to gain knowledge of Aerospace Quality systems to a level that enables holding a QT stamp
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
- Familiarity with First Article Procedure (DVI, PPAP, APQI)
