We are working with a well-established, privately owned construction and cost consultancy renowned for its collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality projects. They are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior team members, supporting them in pre- and post-contract duties across a range of sectors, including hospitality, leisure, education, residential, and commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills further while gaining exposure to various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of cost plans, tender documents, and financial statements
  • Carrying out measurements for Bills of Quantities/Schedules of Work
  • Conducting final account assessments and interim valuations
  • Supporting the assessment of cost variations to contracts
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery

About You:

  • Some knowledge of construction and an understanding of quantity surveying duties
  • Maths and English GCSE (Grade C/5 or above)
  • A relevant qualification that allows entry into a RICS-recognised construction degree course is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Eager to learn and develop within the construction industry
