Our client has been established for almost half a century and are recognised as global market leaders in the provision of rental solutions and equipment for a diverse range of customers and applications across the globe. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a proactive and experienced Retail Project Manager tasked with overseeing and executing high impact projects allied to the retail sector.

Reporting to the Head of Project Management and based out of prestigious offices near Cheltenham, the successful Retail Project Manager candidate will work closely with cross functional teams including transport, warehouse and sales in order to ensure the on-time and in-budget delivery of multiple projects, undertaking strategic planning, risk management, stakeholder communication and performance monitoring to achieve project success and alignment with the wider business objectives whilst maintaining and exceeding the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Core duties for this varied and challenging role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Project Planning and Execution, delivering complex projects from inception to completion whilst ensuring all project goals are met.
  • Stakeholder Management, acting as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and facilitating clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership, mentoring and guiding project team members
  • Budget Management, ensuring financial targets are met and efficient resource allocation
  • Risk Management, identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies whilst ensuring projects are executed in a safe manner
  • Performance Monitoring, tracking project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement, implementing best practices in project management whilst continuously seeking ways to improve project processes and outcomes.
  • Vendor Management, coordinating with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of project components.
  • Site Management, managing the on-site team where required at the point of install, phasing and troubleshooting.

To be considered for this exceptional Retail Project Manager opportunity in what is a genuinely unique and dynamic environment, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess significant experience of operating as a Project Manager in a fast-paced arena, with experience gained in the retail sector proving distinctly advantageous.

You will essentially demonstrate a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple large-scale projects on time and within budget, utilising your strong leadership and team management skills along with excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels and solid analytical and hands-on problem-solving abilities.

With a high level of proficiency in project management software and tools, a CSCS Black card, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualifications are preferred, and you will hold a full UK driving licence with a flexible approach to travel throughout the UK and EU when required.
