We are now looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services. If you have previous practice experience, a keen eye for detail, experience with Xero, and a passion for accounting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!


Benefits:
  • Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM (37.5-hour week)
  • Hybrid Working: Up to 2 days per week from home (after 3-month office-based period)
  • Company Pension Scheme with Legal & General (standard stakeholder contributions)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Directors
  • Preparing and processing accounts
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Processing payroll
  • General ad-hoc work
  • Conducting bank reconciliations
  • Managing Xero accounting software
  • Supporting general finance tasks as required

What Were Looking For:
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Prior experience working within a practice
  • AAT or equivalent, will consider QBE
  • Strong experience using Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
