Are you looking for a career in finance with a rapidly growing, award-winning company? We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our fast-paced team. This role will immerse you in the day-to-day financial operations, including managing the purchase ledger, handling international payments, and supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will make a direct impact on the company’s success.

What the role involves:

  • Set up and maintenance of supplier accounts.
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, including foreign currency invoices.
  • Processing purchase ledger payment runs, including payments of foreign currency invoices.
  • Processing of bank payments and posting the payments to the ledger.
  • Managing all company credit card expenditure.
  • Supporting the finance team with daily tasks and operations.
  • Assisting in the improvement of the company’s financial controls and procedures.
  • Ad-hoc tasks to support the finance department as required.

What you will bring:

  • Accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
  • A higher education qualification in mathematics or finance would be highly advantageous!
  • Excellent numeracy and organisational skills.
  • Strong IT skills with advanced Excel proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player with a positive and professional "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work their Cheltenham office.
