Senior Commercial Manager Rail up to £105k + Package (WFH)

This family owned, blue chip contractor is looking to bolster their rail division with the appointment of a Senior Commercial Manager to oversee two portfolios worth circa £60m turnover.

This leading role will take commercial responsibility and ownership, working loosely with commercial managers to ensure successful projects are delivered whilst maintaining client relationships, managing risk and maximising commercial returns.

The portfolios of work are spread between Bristol and Birmingham so this role is fully hybrid, working from home with office visits as and when required. Key duties will include but not be limited to: -

Liaise with the customer, representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.

Work winning negotiating terms and contracts with clients and employers

Active role in setting tender direction and alignment of win themes during PQQ and tender stage

Cost and value management for project, ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place

Ensuring the quality of financial reporting for projects and portfolios that make up the business unit

Supervise preparation of cost plans for complex projects using a range of cost planning techniques and manage the compilation of data to permit various analyses

Prepare long term cash forecasts, monitor results and interpret reasons for deviations

Management of commercial teams including recruitment and career development for more senior levels of staff.

The work portfolios are a whole range of Building, Civil Engineering, M&E and Facilities Management schemes across a range of clients. Therefore, Rail experience is not required to apply for this role if you have experience of these alternative sectors.

The company is looking to pay between £85k to £105k depending on experience, company car or allowance, private healthcare, option to purchase additional holidays, flexible and remote working, enhanced parental leave, competitive pension/mileage and life assurance.
