Our client, a Prestige Main Dealer in the Gloucester area are currently looking to hire an experienced Workshop Manager to join their busy automotive aftersales Management team.

Our client wants to hear from any Workshop Controllers with experience managing and running a large, professional dealership workshops!

Our client is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager working in their aftersales and workshop team to assist them going the extra mile in ensuring the workshop is running efficiently and smoothly as possible, driving profitability and workshop utilisation.

You will need to have a stable work history and be able to demonstrate a high level of People Management skills as well as good mechanical knowledge to assist them with trouble shooting and understanding customer concerns.

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Management of the Workshop & team, carry out regular reviews to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify
  • Manage the performance of the department
  • Manage and plan workshop & resources to ensure that work can be completed as per schedule
  • Support the sales team to ensure cars (pre sale) are ready for handover
  • Hold daily production meetings to Plan workload and resources
  • Anticipate production problems based on forward plan / resources and provide support to handle workload
  • Monitor staff performance versus standard role requirements and personal objectives and identify areas for development & training
