DevOps Engineer - Cheltenham - DV Cleared - ContractRate: £600 - £625 per dayDuration: 12 months (extendable)Location: CheltenhamIR35: InsideThe role:A Secure Government client is seeking a DevOps Engineer, to contribute to a transformative IT infrastructure program of national importance, to design and build enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure solutions, for a high-profile government client.This is an initial 12-month contract opportunity, requiring active DV clearance.Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Terraform.
  • Experience with Ansible, Puppet, and Foreman.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure Cloud environments.
  • Expertise in Red Hat Linux and Windows Server.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with VMware, OpenShift, and Hyper-V.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP protocols.

  • Integration & Delivery: Collaborate in effectively incorporating development outputs into release modules and oversee their progression into operational environments.
  • Release Management: Lead the process of transitioning services from development to production, ensuring compliance with security standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Offer expert guidance on system architecture, development tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Infrastructure Development: Design and implement practical solutions to address challenges in Cloud and IT infrastructure.
  • Incident Management: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues to ensure continued operational performance.
