A fantastic opportunity to work in a lovely special school based in the scenic city of Cheltenham. The school provides specialist education for up to 100students, which gives you a fantastic opportunity to have familiarity with all pupils.

The role will involve offering support to the teacher to subjects including maths, literacy, science and PSHE. No planning or marking will be involved, however your involvement within preparation to lessons is important , this will include setting up activities, printing or even organising an arts and crafts session. If you have knowledge of phonics, teams or behavioural management this is an excellent opportunity for you to progress within your teaching career,

Knowledge of SEN is vital, including autism; in addition to Social Emotional and Mental health. With the role there may be students with challenging behaviour, some interventions may occur. The head teacher is looking for a nurturing individual who can show maturity and positivity to the role. You must be a friendly, trusting person to build an excellent report with both students and staff.

This is a supply position, where you can be on stand by to cover staff absence, which means you can work flexibly. There would be an opportunity to develop into a permanent position in the school if you can demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team.
