We're working closely with a brilliant special school based in Cheltenham that are looking for someone to join the team in providing cover across the school in different classes. The school look after students with a range of different special needs & disabilities from ages 6-16.
The school are incredibly well respected in the area and are part of a large SEN trust that are well established in Gloucestershire.
The role
The role of SEN Cover Supervisor/Teacher revolves heavily around leading pre-planned lessons in the school, so you will be expected to be confident in classroom management. As the job title suggests, the school are open to applications from QTS teachers as well as unqualified teachers/cover supervisors - so this can be relevant to experienced TA's looking to take a step up. This is also the reason why the pay rate is so varied.
Due to the needs of the students it is imperative you have worked with SEN before. As you will be expected to fill in where necessary, you must be adaptable, confident and used to fast paced environment!
