We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Supply Chain Co-ordinator in the Cheltenham area. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager/Team Leader, this role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring business requirements are met, and driving supplier performance improvements.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier Management
  • Oversee a portfolio of suppliers to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.

  • Participate in multi-site supplier business reviews with cross-functional teams.

  • Work within a cross-functional team to manage successful supply chain work package transfers.

  • Support the Supplier Performance Quality Leader (SPQL) in executing supplier performance strategies and initiatives.

  • Manage internal stakeholder expectations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Order Book Management
  • Analyse, process, confirm, and communicate supplier requirements.

  • Review and update supplier schedules.

  • Identify and implement solutions to address shortages.

  • Negotiate deadlines and quantities with suppliers to meet business needs.

  • Oversee manufacturing progress at supplier sites.

  • Manage delivery receipts and returns.

Issue Resolution & Performance Management
  • Measure and analyse supplier performance in coordination with the SPQL.

  • Develop and implement action plans for suppliers not meeting performance targets.

  • Identify and address root causes of supplier issues.

  • Provide early warnings regarding supplier risks.

  • Communicate major program changes and monitor implementation.

  • Develop and execute recovery plans aligned with program priorities.

Supplier Reviews
  • Schedule and conduct regular supplier meetings.

  • Lead supplier visits, with site project managers as required.

  • Analyse supplier performance (OTD, OQD) and collaborate with the SPQL to implement improvement actions.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and MRP2 principles in SAP

  • Experience in the aerospace industry is an advantage

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Effective decision-making and negotiation skills
