A prestigious organisation is seeking to hire a permanent Supply Chain Specialist for their location in Staverton, Cheltenham, offering a salary of up to £42,000.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, alongside exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in Supply Chain or Procurement within a regulated manufacturing setting.Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist include:

  • Act as a key liaison within Supply Chain, facilitating communication between Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure timely updates and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer interactions through calls and site visits, working collaboratively across teams to address customer needs and expedite urgent demands.
  • Oversee procurement activities including the RFQ process, purchase order management, and supplier orderbook management.
  • Maintain and update the ERP system with supplier delivery commitments and purchasing master data for accurate planning and inventory optimisation.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, utilising strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

Person Specification of the Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement position, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation, organisational and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Self-motivation and team player
