We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our client in Cheltenham..
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Provide emergency roadside assistance as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid HGV license preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
