HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Day & Night Drivers

Location – Chepstow NP16 

Salary - 

Days £17.00 - £21.00 PER HOUR

Shift pattern, Sunday to Saturday 

Must be able to work weekends so you could work 5-6 days a week. 

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing basis, day shifts.

The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, RDC to RDC, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.

Key tasks:

• Delivering items to customers
• Trunking 
• Days 05.00 - 08.00 start times
• Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and customer service skills
