We are currently recruiting a Production Operator to join their manufacturing company based in the Chepstow area.

Our client is a busy aluminium supplier. As such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team. This role requires a high level of attention, accuracy and a previous working history in this role is desirable.

Start Date: ASAP

Shifts: 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 6am - 12pm

2pm-11pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 2pm - 6pm

Pay rate:£23,396 - £24,396

Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Operate equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
  • To carry out maintenance and cleaning of equipment when required.
  • Fault find and report any defects or problems
  • Contributing to daily targets
  • To carry out all quality control checks as required.
  • To ensure the production area is kept in a clean operative state.
  • To provide cover in other areas of production when required.
  • Ensure that the Health & Safety requirements of the Company are met at all times.
  • Identifying any potential safety issues.
  • Any other duties that may be required.

Person Specification:

  • Good team worker
  • Pro-active
  • Good communication skills
  • Machine setting experience
  • CNC experience (desirable but not essential)

General Duties:

  • To understand and ensure the Health and Safety requirements of the Company are met at all times and reporting any potential safety issues to the relevant personnel.
  • To ensure that all activities are operated in accordance with Equal Opportunities legislation, and Best Practice.
