We are currently recruiting a Production Operator to join their manufacturing company based in the Chepstow area.
Our client is a busy aluminium supplier. As such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team. This role requires a high level of attention, accuracy and a previous working history in this role is desirable.
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts: 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 6am - 12pm
2pm-11pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 2pm - 6pm
Pay rate:£23,396 - £24,396
Responsibilities and Activities:
- Operate equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
- To carry out maintenance and cleaning of equipment when required.
- Fault find and report any defects or problems
- Contributing to daily targets
- To carry out all quality control checks as required.
- To ensure the production area is kept in a clean operative state.
- To provide cover in other areas of production when required.
- Ensure that the Health & Safety requirements of the Company are met at all times.
- Identifying any potential safety issues.
- Any other duties that may be required.
Person Specification:
- Good team worker
- Pro-active
- Good communication skills
- Machine setting experience
- CNC experience (desirable but not essential)
General Duties:
- To understand and ensure the Health and Safety requirements of the Company are met at all times and reporting any potential safety issues to the relevant personnel.
- To ensure that all activities are operated in accordance with Equal Opportunities legislation, and Best Practice.
