Description
- Oversee and manage the financial operations within the department.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues.
- Optimise the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
- Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
- Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
- Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortised, and disposed of as appropriate.
Profile
A successful Commercial Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Professional finance qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
