Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Depot Service Manager to join a leading global food service wholesaler and play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and delivering exceptional service standards across the depot.

Role overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of depot operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality food service solutions. The role will involve optimising logistics processes, and maintaining compliance with safety standards, while promoting a culture of excellence and prioritising customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and implementing all health and safety policies and procedures within the depot.
  • Ensuring that all food safety regulations and processes are adhered to within the depot.
  • Implementing regular audits to guarantee compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all products received meet safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align depot operations with overall business objectives.
  • Provide training and development for staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Lead depot staff to achieve high levels of customer service.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • HACCP qualification Internal auditing qualification
  • Qualification IEMA Environmental Awareness Certificate
  • CIEH - Chartered Institute of Environmental Health - Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
