Salary £45,000 to £50,000 per annum dependent on experience
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Transport Manager to join a leading global food service wholesaler and play a key role in optimising transport operations. Role overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transport operations, optimising delivery routes, and leading a team of drivers to ensure exceptional service.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing and assisting the operations manager on all transport operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
- Develop and implement transport strategies to optimise routes and reduce costs.
- Lead and motivate large teams of drivers ensuring high levels of performance and safety.
- Managing budgets and controlling expenses related to transportation operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and improve service delivery.
- Manage relationships with third-party transport providers and negotiate contracts.
- Ensuring compliance and maintenance of all transport vehicles and equipment.
- Resolving any transport related issues or challenges that arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Holds a CPC qualification
- Preferable experience within the Food Service Delivery industry
- Engaging, enthusiastic, and proactive.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
