Acorn by Synergie is excited to announce an opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join a leading food distribution company.

The Role:You will be responsible for managing transport-related issues and supporting the smooth flow of operations. As a key member of the team, you'll provide vital administrative assistance to ensure the depot meets its operational targets while delivering outstanding customer service. Key responsibilities:* Perform administrative and reporting tasks to ensure the depot meets all legislative and corporate governance requirements. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and the effective distribution of information to help achieve depot targets. * Organize and manage both physical and electronic records, ensuring they are easily accessible for efficient retrieval. * Handle calls and emails effectively, providing administrative support within set parameters, or escalating issues to the Transport Manager when necessary. * Input data accurately into the appropriate electronic systems. * Provide support to transport supervisors and the Transport Manager with various tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the department. Skills & Experience:* Knowledge and experience within the food distribution industry is desirable. * Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and via email. * Proficient in using IT systems and software, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Strong organisational abilities and time management skills. * High level of attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and information management.
