Location: Chertsey/Weybridge (Hybrid - 2 days a week on site) Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus Summary:At Bis Henderson, we are looking for a Sales Manager to join a growing 3PL business. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to develop new, external business, by successfully sourcing and creating a pipeline of sales in the UK within the Freight Forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within Freight Forwarding and/or Contract Logistics. They will be able to call upon their existing network within the UK Warehouse and Logistics industry to develop new work. You will need to have a hands-on mentality with strong negotiation and closing skills. This role will require travel within the UK and you will be expected to go to our Client's site in Chertsey or Weybridge roughly twice per week. Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads from a standing start.
  • Develop and grow the new prospects and target sales pipelines.
  • Bring an existing network of contacts and utilise these to develop new work.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets and trends.
  • Foster and develop relationships with prospects, customers and partners to generate repeat business as well as locate new opportunities.

Experience:

  • Experience in Freight Forwarding and/or Contract Logistics would be beneficial
  • Proven experience in a similar business development or sales role
  • Strong network within the UK Warehouse and Logistics industry
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Resilient and hands-on mentality, eager to take on new challenges and drive results.
