Labourers required to assist tradespeople and site managers with various tasks to ensure the smooth running of a construction site. Duties may vary depending on the project but typically involve manual labour, site preparation, and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clearing and preparing construction sites before work begins.
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Supporting skilled workers such as carpenters, bricklayers, and plasterers.
- Mixing and applying materials like cement and mortar.
- Holding or moving materials in place as instructed.
- Digging trenches, setting up scaffolding, and assisting with groundwork.
- Erecting temporary fencing and barriers as needed.
- Wearing correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Following health and safety regulations and site procedures.
- Reporting any hazards or incidents to the site supervisor.
- Previous experience in construction is beneficial
- Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks and work in all weather conditions.
