We have just taken a fabulous new role for a leading care provider based in the Chertsey area.

Due to expanse they are looking for a Deputy Care Manager to join our highly sucessful team.

We are considering a range of candidates for this role including:Deputy Care ManagerCare Coordinator/SchedulerCare SupervisorLive-in Care

Initial training will be provided but you should be able to work on your own and use your own initiative when required. You will be a team player, an excellent communicator, well organised and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

The main duties;

  • To assist with individual care referrals and meet clients to discuss care needs
  • In conjunction with the Manager, to provide support to all staff members within the group
  • To ensure that all legislation is adhered to as required by CQC
  • To meet with the Director and Manager on a regular basis (usually monthly), and provide reports as required.
  • To assist the Manager and In-house trainer with any managerial supervision, training and appraisals where necessary.
  • To assist the Manager in monitoring the performance of all care staff and to assist in initiating appropriate action should standards fall below an acceptable level.
  • To assist the Manager in ensuring that senior staff and staff receive on going advice and sup-port to maintain the progressive development of the team.
  • To assist with resolving staff problems according to the location’s grievance procedure, in conjunction with the Manager.
  • To assist the Manager when dealing with staff disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal.
  • To assist the Manager with ensuring that budgetary control is maintained, ensuring that maximum income is maintained and all expenditure is monitored and recorded.

In addition to the above, you may be requested to carry out any other tasks that maybe considered a reasonable request in line with the role of a Deputy Care Manager.

NVQ in Health and Social Care Level 3 mandatory (Level 5 would be an advantage).
