We are currently looking for an experienced Finishing Manager to join one of our clients, a well known and well established main contractor, initially working on a complex high technology scheme locally.

Working closely with the Project Team and reporting to the PM on site, your roles and responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities

  • Internal and External Fit Completion: Oversee the completion of both internal and external finishes, from first fix through to handover, ensuring all work meets the company's high standards of quality and detail.

  • Project Delivery: Manage the execution of assigned project areas efficiently, adhering to company procedures, timelines, and project specifications.

  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades, ensuring timely completion and adherence to high standards.

  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Promote a safety-first culture on-site, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct daily checks to ensure health and safety measures are followed.

  • Quality Control: Validate installation quality and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings. Carry out snagging, benchmarking, and regular inspections to ensure a high-quality finish.

  • Compliance with Method Statements: Assist the Site Manager in ensuring all operatives are working in line with the latest method statements and that they fully understand the task at hand.

  • Problem-Solving and Site Management: Assist the Site Manager in solving site-related issues as they arise, and provide feedback on any defects or innovative methods to enhance work processes.

This role would suit an experienced Site Manager, adept at working on larger projects and with a proven background in and bias towards manaing high quality finishes.
