Hays are partnered with a Global Leading Company, who currently support the majority of hospitals in the UK.We are looking for an Mechanical Engineer to join their team, working out of the KT postcode.Key Responsibilities:

  • Installations of new mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical system issues, including breakdowns, leaks, and performance problems, to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical and biomedical engineers, to coordinate system integration and ensure seamless operation.

What you need to succeed:

  • Level 2 or higher City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems, as well as relevant codes and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role is Multi site and does require you to have a driving license.What you'll get in return:
