Are you looking for a new opportunity within an Estate Agency based in Chertsey? Our client, who have been established for nearly 70 years, specialising in sales, lettings, property management, land and new homes, are looking for a Lettings Consultant to join their dedicated and long standing team. They have built their reputation based on the different and personalised approach they offer their clients, along with using the best technology to market properties. Reporting into the Lettings Manager, this role will require you to have an understanding of the lettings process, including basic legal knowledge, as well as local area knowledge. You must be a good team player, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage your time effectively. The company would also be open to a Trainee, with a strong willingness to learn. You must have a full UK driving licence and own your own car. Salary and benefits package for the role of Lettings Consultant include:

  • Basic £17,000 - £21,000
  • OTE £29,000 - £39,000
  • Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 6.30pm, Friday 8am - 6pm, every other Saturday 9am - 5pm with a day back during the week
  • 5.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays
  • Use of company mobile

  • Business mileage up to 45p per mile

Responsibilities for the role of Lettings Consultant include:

  • Ensure personal compliance with all legal, technical and administrative systems
  • To attract landlords and applicants
  • To let properties & additional services at the agreed targets
  • Assist the branch in ensuring personal and team compliance with all relevant legal technical andadministrative legislation
  • Ensure an agreed prospecting plan is delivered
  • Conduct morning meeting in manager’s absence
  • Deputise in manager’s absence
  • Develop business in designated area
  • Qualify applicants and potential landlords
  • Generate listing opportunities and instructions
  • Generate viewings and offers
  • Undertake valuation appointments
  • Negotiate offers to agreed deals
  • Implement branch plan with branch manager in line with the group strategic plan
  • Conduct marketing review calls
  • Work towards team and individual targets

Skills and experience required for the role of Lettings Consultant include:

  • Understanding of the lettings process
  • Basic legal knowledge to include GoodLord, CPR, MLA and right to rent checks
  • Local area and competitor knowledge
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Always ensure high quality customer care at all times
  • Good attention to detail
  • Be able to stay calm and positive under pressure
  • Effective team player
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Target driven
  • Have a full UK driving licence and own your own car
