Hays Specialist Recruitment is actively recruiting Support workers based in Chertsey and the surrounding area to work with adults and the elderly with learning disabilities in a residential setting.
Salary: £23,264 per annum Working Pattern: 40 hours (full-time) or 24 hours (part-time) per week (7 days flexibility required)

Your New Role
- Providing essential support to adults with pre-existing conditions such as Alzheimer's dementia, within residential homes, including personal care.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment to foster their independence and personal growth.
- Engaging in diverse day-to-day activities tailored to their unique needs and interests, such as relationship building, days-out and other living activities.
- Assisting with household tasks like cooking and cleaning, as well as shopping for the residents.
- Assisting in the management of the residents' finances.
- Supporting medication management.
- Building trust and responsibility to accompany them to appointments and activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Preferred Experience: No minimum experience required. Your chances of success and placement with our client will increase based on your background experience.
- Driver's license is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Ideal Qualifications: Qualifications such as an NVQ L3/2 in Health and Social Care or relevant qualifications in supporting adults with learning disabilities are ideal, but entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Flexibility: You must be available 7-days a week to work at least 2 days (part-time) or 4 days (full-time per week.
- Resilience: This role can be challenging, so a strong will, perseverance, and patience are essential when dealing with difficult situations.
- Effective Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary. You'll be responsible for writing in logbooks and potentially preparing reports.
- Ambition: This role is an entry level position, with the prospect of furthering yourself with the backing of a large financier, you must show ambition for growth and personal development in your career.
