Milk Education are working with a school seeking a skilled and passionate Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join their dedicated team. As a key member of their team, you will work closely with students to provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic support for a variety of speech, language, and communication difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced therapist to make a significant impact in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Provide ongoing support and progress monitoring to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Offer guidance and training to staff and parents on strategies to support communication development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment where students feel confident and empowered to develop their communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (e.g., Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent).
  • HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with speech, language, and communication difficulties (experience in an educational or SEN setting is desirable).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with children and young people.
