If you are an experienced professional with a successful background in managing purchasing operations, we invite you to apply and be a part of our dynamic team.ResponsibilitiesAs the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for a wide range of strategic and operational tasks, including:

  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies to forecast stock demand throughout the year, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising stockouts.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate order quantities, pricing, and contractual terms with suppliers to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Diversified Sourcing: Implement dual-sourcing strategies and proactively seek out new suppliers for existing components to mitigate the risk associated with key component shortages and improve supply chain resilience.
  • Warehouse Management: Supervise the warehouse assistant in optimising stock organisation, managing goods in process, and maintaining rigorous stock traceability.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the goods in process and other operational aspects to ensure seamless workflows, quality control, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Cost Optimisation: Collaborate closely with existing suppliers while actively identifying and onboarding new suppliers to reduce the landed cost of our key manufactured products, consistently seeking ways to enhance cost-efficiency.
  • In-Office Commitment: Be present in the office on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, to facilitate effective collaboration and support cross-functional teams.

RequirementsTo excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams, ideally in a purchasing or inventory management context.
  • Purchasing Expertise: A proven track record in purchasing a diverse range of items, with a specific focus on cost optimisation and process efficiency. Experience in procuring electronic components is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Thinker: Possess strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to develop and execute innovative purchasing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
