Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioural management strategies and a commitment to helping students overcome challenges, build self-confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will be working closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that students who require additional behavioural support receive the guidance and encouragement they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students who require behavioural assistance.
  • Develop and implement effective behavioural strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting on behavioural improvements and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create personalised intervention plans.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and safe environment in the classroom and throughout the school.
  • Engage with parents/carers to keep them informed about their child’s progress and offer strategies for support at home.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of social skills and emotional regulation sessions.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques and how to implement them effectively.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable, but not essential.
