Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Chesham, starting in January 2025. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant, inclusive environment, shaping the educational journeys of young learners at a critical stage in their development.

 

The role will require the following responsibilities:

  • Planning and Delivering Lessons: Create and deliver creative, play-based lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum that encourage curiosity, independence, and critical thinking.
  • Supporting Child Development: Promote the emotional, social, and cognitive development of every child, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Observe and assess children’s progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers, and adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Building Positive Relationships: Engage effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues, ensuring consistent communication and a collaborative approach to each child’s development.
  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that supports diversity and fosters a love for learning.

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent with experience in an EYFS setting.
  • Is passionate about early years education and committed to promoting a positive learning environment for young children.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Is creative, flexible, and able to adapt lessons to meet the varying needs of pupils.
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Early Learning Goals.
  • Has a clear and valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
  • A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of children.
