Our client’s wonderful Chesham nursery is hiring a Third in Charge who is hard working and passionate about childcare to drive a small team in our over 2's unit.
With a salary of up to ÂŁ28,080 per annum based on 40 hours working week.

What you will be doing;
- You will be able to work closely within the nursery management team to provide a high level of professional leadership to room-based staff in your room and across the nursery.
- You will be able to support room staff in their roles and maintain positive working partnerships with the team, parents, carers, and outside agencies.
- You are someone who can generate creative ideas to inspire learning, write reports and keep clear and accurate records.
- You will promote a high standard of quality within the nursery including practice, environment, and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- You can develop and maintain professional working relationships with the team, parents and external agencies.
- You will carry out peer observations and from this provide the room staff with constructive feedback.
- You will lead and support colleagues to monitor and record children’s progress and use the information as a basis for planning and improving practice and provision both indoors and out.
- You will support the Nursery Management Team with inducting, supporting, training, and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice.
- You will support the Nursery Management Team to identify, address and support individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals.
- You can assume additional management responsibilities as and when required.
What we need from you;
- You have a minimum full and relevant Level 3 qualification.
- You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a leadership role.
- You are passionate about childcare and development and understand the EYFS.
