Job Opportunity: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer with a passion for designing innovative mechanical and public health Service Designs? Do you have a strong understanding of British Standards, building regulations, and health and safety protocols? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce detailed Mechanical and Public Health service systems.
  • Perform hand and computer-aided calculations to validate designs.
  • Create detailed specifications, schedules, and employer's requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and reviews to assess mechanical services.
  • Conduct surveys and generate written reports, ensuring compliance with British Standards.
  • Manage projects, coordinating closely with clients and contractors.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and assist with staff development.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety procedures, especially regarding health and safety.

Key Knowledge & Experience:

  • Fully qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer.
  • Strong numerical skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • In-depth knowledge of British Standards and UK Building Regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety standards.
  • Proficient in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) platforms (Cymap, Hevacomp).
  • A professional approach with an emphasis on confidentiality and integrity.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (site meetings may require occasional travel).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
