Job specification:
- Perform daily reconciliation and posting of bank transactions.
- Aid in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns, monthly EC sales, and Intrastat reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of accurate monthly accounts, ensuring tight deadlines are met.
- Reconcile control accounts.
- Monitor and maintain fixed asset registers.
- Prepare weekly reports for the management team.
- Assist with year-end processing and preparation of auditor information.
- Participate in the improvement of processes and procedures.
- Provide support for credit control and purchase ledger tasks.
Person specification:
- Proven experience in a similar role (1 year plus)
- Meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised and proactive.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team.
- Advanced Excel skills, possibly VLOOKUP.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ideally studying, or intending to study, for an accounting qualification.
