Job specification:

  • Perform daily reconciliation and posting of bank transactions.
  • Aid in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns, monthly EC sales, and Intrastat reporting.
  • Contribute to the preparation of accurate monthly accounts, ensuring tight deadlines are met.
  • Reconcile control accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain fixed asset registers.
  • Prepare weekly reports for the management team.
  • Assist with year-end processing and preparation of auditor information.
  • Participate in the improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Provide support for credit control and purchase ledger tasks.

Person specification:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (1 year plus)
  • Meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised and proactive.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team.
  • Advanced Excel skills, possibly VLOOKUP.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ideally studying, or intending to study, for an accounting qualification.
