MB360: Senior LED/Video TechnicianLocation: LondonSalary: £32,500Working Hours: Monday to FridayAdditional Company Benefits: Private medical insurance, company bonus scheme, season ticket loans, free railcard, flexible working hours, training and development, Bike2Work scheme and contributory pension scheme.Overview:First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic Events Management business who are looking to recruit a Senior LED/Video Technician on a permanent basis due to growth.The business mainly provides services to corporate events which generally take place on weekdays, although some weekend working will be required, and there is a high degree of flexibility regarding working hours, as well as an understanding that this is not a 9-5 job.Having recently invested heavily in an amazing LED framework system, this is a great opportunity to utilise and progress your video and LED experience to help produce fantastic world class events. In addition to working on site, you will be required to help the business maintain its LED and video equipment to the highest standards.Duties and responsibilities:

  • You will review jobs with colleagues to ensure that the equipment specified can fulfil its requirements.
  • You will set up, prepare and test equipment on premises prior to going on site.
  • You will assist with the planning and coordination of the rig and de-rig of LED jobs advising on best method, power requirements, pixel counts and weight loads.
  • You will work with warehouse colleagues to service and maintain LED equipment to ensure it is show ready.
  • You will work closely with Technical Managers to develop LED training programmes and resources for sales and technical colleagues.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Specific experience, knowledge and skills relating to LED equipment.
  • Ability to work independently to install, configure, and problem solve LED video walls.
  • Technical competence in sound for live events with a reasonable understanding of lighting.
  • Proven experience in technical roles, working within the live events industry, either as an employee or freelancer.
  • First class interpersonal skills – especially regarding meeting management and written communications.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work with a variety of professionals from different disciplines producing live events.
  • Naturally pro-active instincts, with a hunger for inspiring change and operational improvement.
  • Excellent all-round end-user IT skills.
  • Experience providing technical services to virtual events would be an advantage.
