Production Managers opportunity in this large, established and successful subcontract precision engineering company. We are looking for an experience engineer and manager who understands the detail and challenges of a CNC machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day production activities within the workshop to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians and operators, fostering a productive and positive working environment.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Monitor and optimise CNC machining processes to ensure precision, efficiency, and quality.
  • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to translate project requirements into efficient production plans.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare detailed reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager, with a strong background in CNC operations.
  • Exceptional leadership and man-management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of workshop operations and production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in a workshop environment.This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependant on experience.
