  • We are seeking a proactive Band 6 Children’s Community Nurse to join our Community Nursing Team in Chessington.
  • The role offers an umbrella pay rate of £43.53 per hour for an initial contract of 3 months, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, totaling 36 hours per week.
  • The nurse will provide holistic care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and complex health needs, ages 2 to 19.
  • Candidates must have a valid UK Driving Licence, be a Registered Children’s Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and possess experience in community nursing and working with complex needs.
  • A Child DBS registered on the update service is also required for this position.
Children’s Community Nurse Band 6ChessingtonUmbrella Pay- £43.53 per hour3 months initiallyMonday to Friday, 8am – 4pm, 36 hrs/week  We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive nurse to work within our Community Nursing Team.
  • Working autonomously, across the borough, to provide holistic, child and family centred care for children and young people with SEND, PMLD and complex health needs, ranging from 2 - 19 years of age
  • Assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing care
  • Writing appropriate care plans to ensure safe and effective care delivery
  • Delivery of specialist nursing care, including but not limited to; gastrostomy management, wound care, suction
  • Delivery of specialist training for families and school support staff
  • Multi-disciplinary liaison to ensure continuity of care and attendance at multi- professional meetings, including child protection case conferences
  • Provision of support to families, including signposting to specialist services and completing onward referrals for care
  • Providing health advice for education, health and care plans
Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Registered Children’s Nurse, registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • A relevant Professional Qualification
  • Experience working in the community and being an autonomous practitioner
  • Experience working with complex needs
  • Child DBS registered onto the update service
