Are you a qualified Science Teacher (Maternity Cover) seeking a temporary teaching role at an Outstanding secondary school in Kingston Upon Thames? Future Education is looking for a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher for a maternity cover starting in April 2025 at one of our partner secondary schools.

Role information:

Science Teacher

  • Maternity Cover (April 2025 – July 2025)
  • A Qualified Science Teacher who can teach all 3 sciences at KS3/4 level or a Chemistry Specialist who can teach Chemistry up to KS5.
  • Full-time

Role expectation:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Mark and assess student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Actively participate in the Science department's development and activities.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
  • NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at KS3/4 level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
  • Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Passion for teaching and contributing to students' academic success.
