Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Mainstream School. This school located in the Chessington area and has a warm, caring and vibrant environment which provides support and challenge to ensure that all students, regardless of their starting points, achieve well to go on and lead happy and fulfilled lives. This will be a full time role, from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm. As a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant, you will need to be confident in supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, as well as assisting the class teacher. You will be expected to work with children of various learning difficulties.

- Support a child with their learning and development
- As a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant you will contribute to creating a safe, supportive & engaging learning environment
- Have experience working with Secondary SEND children in a school setting out outside a school setting
- Have experience working in a secondary school
- Build a close bond with the child to ensure they feel comfortable both inside & outside the classroom
- Communicate closely with colleagues to ensure the progress of students is prioritised as a Teaching Assistant
Requirements:
- Available Immediately, Mon-Fri , 8:30am-4pm
- MUST have a CHILD ONLY DBS or willing to get one
- Must have experience with secondary children in some capacity whereby you can provide a reference
- Live local to Chessington or within a commutable distance
