Learning Support Assistant - Chessington

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work within a wonderful SEND school located in the Chessington area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to support children 1:1 with special needs and you will be an important member of staff ensuring that all children receive tailored help.

The Role:

  • Work with children 1:1 when needed to provide specialised support
  • A Learning Support Assistant requires you to work one-on-one or in a small group, supporting children with their education, behavioural and social development
  • Assisting Teachers to plan learning activities, prepare learning materials, complete records, and carry out administrative tasks
  • Help children who need extra support to complete tasks
  • Ensure pupils feel comfortable and confident in their own abilities

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people or SEND children in any capacity
  • You will need the ability to monitor each pupil's responses and adapt the learning activities to suit their needs
  • Have excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical
  • Either live in Chessington or within a commutable distance
